Fan Festival - 2006

Fan Festival was taking place on the top of the hill in the pictures, during the days 25-26-27 August. We were lucky enough to be there for those dates!!

Fan Festival was an alternative music festival, organized in order to call the attention on what is happening in Rosia Montana, a small village on the mountains of Transylvania.

There, they have a big problem: they have loads of gold, under their feet. A Canadian/romanian corporation is attempting to mine the gold there, with very polluting methods (which are also very fast). The lands there would be never the same, after the gold mining. The village would have to be abandoned, and destroyed, including all the historical heritage under the land (still some texts are found from earlier than Roman Empire times).
